Choir 17 is a friendly, uplifting and engaging mixed choir, based in Walthamstow, East London.
We sing popular music, mostly from the 1970s to 2000s, with the odd golden oldie and modern classic thrown in. Think Billy Joel, Oasis, the Bangles… you catch the drift. We sing great songs people will know, but not necessarily the songs you’d expect from a community choir.
We aim to sound great and feel great. To do that, we work as a team to create harmony, in all senses of the word.
Singing in a choir should be a powerful and hugely positive experience. Through bringing happiness and enjoyment to our choir members we believe we can then spread that happiness to anyone who comes to hear us sing.
After all, if you don’t leave a rehearsal session with a smile on your face and a tune stuck in your head then what’s the point?
