Choir 17 gigs this summer – support us!

We are delighted to be supporting two local festivals this summer and we would love you to come along and see/hear us!

We will be at the Chingford Village Festival on Sat 8th Jun at 6.30pm, at St Peter’s & St Paul Church.  This is the festival’s first year at the church and it’s a fantastic acoustic for singing so we hope to see lots of you there! The Facebook event for our gig is here.

Choir 17 – summer term 2019

After a little break for some Easter sun, Choir 17 will return for a fun-packed summer term on 24th April! We will be open to new members and learning some fab new songs so do come along, Wednesdays at The CentrE17, 7-8.30pm. Yay!

New Year, new activity?

Looking for something fun, uplifting and creative to do in 2019? Well, Choir 17 is now open for new members! We’ve lots of exciting new music to get stuck into this coming year, some lovely gigs already lined up and most of all a great group of people ready to rock the new year with fun and friendship. Come and hear us perform this festive season!

We’re delighted to have been asked to perform at some local Walthamstow gigs this winter.  We’ll be bringing our own brand of festive cheer to the following events:

30th Nov – 6.30pm – WF Council’s ‘Christmas at the Town Hall’ – Town Hall, Walthamstow

8th Dec – after 12pm – E17 Designers’ Christmas Market – WF Community Hub

And possibly more to come!  We’ll be sharing the songs we’ve been working on this autumn, so expect some new and now-classic Choir 17 numbers.

Choir 17 is open for new members!

We’re excited to be returning from our little summer break this week, and we are now open for new members to join the choir!  So every Wednesday between this week (15th Aug) and 19th Sep 2018 we would be delighted to welcome you if you’re interested in joining Choir 17.  It’s a lovely, friendly environment and we’ll be working on new songs so everyone will be on the same page.  As always there are no auditions and no prior experience of singing is necessary, you just need to love music and be up for lots of fun! To join, simply pop along whichever Wednesday suits you – we’re at CentrE17 from 7pm.  First 3 sessions are free.  If you have any questions please check out our FAQs page or contact Rosie, the choir leader, via the join us page.

Choir 17 – info for new members (Summer 2018)

As we are preparing for our next gig at the Walthamstow Garden Party on 14th July, we will next be open to new members immediately following that, on Weds 18th July and Weds 25th July (we’ll then be on summer break until 15th August).  If you fancy giving it a go, please do pop along and join us at any of those nights: 7pm, CentrE17 (Church Hill, round the corner from Central Parade).  No auditions, no singing on your own, just a lot of laughs, lovely people and some sweet, sweet, music. Choir 17 at Walthamstow Garden Party – Sat 14th July 2018

As if summer 2018 couldn’t get any better in this glorious weather, hold on to your hats and get yourselves down to Lloyd Park on 14th July to hear a full 30 minute set from Choir 17!  We’ll be performing in the Earthly Paradise Tent at 1.45pm, it’ll be a fun, family-friendly, uplifting set that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face!  Check out the Walthamstow Garden Party website or join Facebook event.

Interested in joining Choir 17?

Exciting news! The summer term starts on 25th April 2018 (7pm-8.20pm, CentrE17) , which means we’re open for new members to join us from then, until around the beginning of June.  Always wanted to try singing and looking for a safe, fun choir to get involved in?  Get in touch, or come along on the 25th April.  No auditions, no singing on your own, no crazy dance moves – just sounding great and feeling great.

Choir 17’s first gig!

We had a wonderful time singing at The Bell pub in Walthamstow on Sunday 8th April.  The pub were really pleased (and a little surprised!) at the huge turnout, and the choir really put a spring in everyone’s Sunday evening step with a fantastic performance!  It was totally buzzing.  If you want to hear how we got on, head over to our Facebook page where there are some lovely videos of the event, complete with impromptu dancing from some of the children and wild applause from the crowd!  Thanks so much to everyone who’s supported the choir since our launch last September.  This really is a very special group indeed.
